Some Fond Memories

It has been almost a year since i have passed out of college , but still somehow i haven't been able to detach myself completely from the hostel life, those glorious 4 years(during which i lost 22 kilos, huh quite a bit by unintended dieting and consuming ****) .Life has been quite smooth for me after college and somehow i have managed to prosper (in professional life) without any hiccups considering te fact that i kept myself detached from studies for the most part(3/4th) of my college life or should i say hostel life( my attendance was probably 95% in hostel as compared to a overall college attendance of 10% at most in 4 yrs).In those 4 years i was so busy in extracurricular activities(defined by myself) that i couldn't get the time or energy to concentrate on studies .On top of that there my friends, who had the same routine so the thought of changing that routine never came in my mind.

Right now i am pretty happy in my professional life(only 6 moths old) and have been lucky in terms of office atmosphere and like minded colleagues , but i miss my hostel friends and there freaking ideas(walking 2km for a bottle of beer at 2AM on a ghostly road). Life has become a bit sedate and predictable, all the more reminding me of the hostel days in which i never knew what i was going to do the next hour(leave alone the next day). They say you should choose friends very carefully , but i guess i had GOD'S blessing on that.At the end of those 4 years the most precious thing that i acquired were my friends (friends on whom i can count even in the toughest situations in life ).When i began my college life i was a boy who was not clever enough to read the basic situations in life but during the course of my graduation and incidents which took place during that phase(most of which was because of utter foolishness) i was transformed in to guy who knew at least how to keep himself away from unwanted troubles.

Every time i think about my hostel days a bright smile comes just naturally and whenever i have a reminder of the food or should i say horror(it was so tasty and delicious that it hardly went down my throat) my smile disappears. If i sit down to tell anybody what my daily routine in hostel was, i have think before saying anything because i practically did nothing. We use to pass the days gossiping in a room filled with smoke(of a certain" prasad" of LORD SHIVA), with burnt cigarettes covering the hole floor and surfing a computer which only had stuffs for entertainment(though i was supposed to be a computer engineer ) .Though i used to play cricket and football regularly at the beginning but slowly it became once in awhile (because of all those different types of smokes in my lungs) so settled down onto playing carom which allowed me the luxury of consuming joints at the same time. Then there were events like the hostel football tournament, where everybody started playing so called “POLITICS” to get there desired teams and my team managed to win it on the forth occasion(myself being the top scorer ,something i never had even dreamt of ) .

Time has changed now and i have to behave to like a corporate(idiotic and boring) but still whenever i get the opportunity i become the old guy of the hostel life and start exploring some freaking ideas.
